If I hadn't been walking and even running in the past 2 days, I would have thought I broke it, but I have and it doesn't hurt. So, I don't know....looks pretty cool, I think. :)

Starting August off right

Finally, some time for some "non-studying fun"! I kinda packed in as much fun as possible... :)

The morning of August 1st, I was waking up next to a super cute boy...... :) (scandalous!) haha, a cute 5-year old boy!... (shame on you all!)


About 2 months ago, I was talking with Jax about doing a little "campout" in his backyard. Well, June and July were pretty busy with studying, among other things, and so I took the first chance I got. I decided after my exam on July 29th, that there wouldn't be any studying for at least a week and a half. So I lived it up!


After everyone got up and ready, we headed over to Jax's last T-ball game. It was alot of fun to see the little guy in action.... cracked me up! Here are a few clips of the event.

3rd time's the charm! I especially love the face off at 2nd, sitting on 3rd, chucking grass at the opposing team player, and the grand finale: jumping on home plate! Good job, buddy!

August 3rd - evening. On the way to Bear Lake, I stopped off in Bountiful for my ward FHE activity which was a surprise birthday party for my bishop. And, he was surprised! He is getting released soon and so I really wanted to be apart of the activity and everything worked out perfectly.

August 3rd-6th was a Bear Lake trip which was much needed. Just chillin' the whole time.... (insert contented sigh here) I feel relaxed just thinking about it. Thanks so much to Janelle and her family for providing the opportunity! It was much needed! :) I didn't take many pictures but here are a few.

I headed back on Thursday morning and worked for a few hours. Two things about coming home from a camping trip that are just wonderful: 1. Showers 2. Sleeping in one's own bed! Wouldn't you agree?

After work I took my sister, Rachel, on a sister-date. We went to Murray Park and watched Nunsense! There were a few people from my ward involved in the making and performing of it. It was REALLY funny and we both enjoyed it.

Friday, August 7th - Company Summer Party - Fairview Canyon. One of the partners in my firm owns a cabin up there and decided to hold the party there. As it was a "family" party, I brought along Zach, 11-year old nephew. We had alot of fun! Zach even got to go out in a canoe, which I caught on tape.

After the party, we met up with Zach's parents and did a little switcharoo. I took Sarah & Anna for a little "PPP" - Pretty Princess Party. Another sleepover that we have been talking about doing for awhile. Rachel and Amy joined us and we had ourselves a fun time!

Saturday morning, it was once again my turn to host the monthly family get together and I had decided to have another "PPP" - Pizza Pool Party. Unfortunately the pool ended up being closed and we weren't able to do the pool part, but the pizza turned out really well! It was quite fun.

To end off our fun-filled week and a half, I went with a friend to Kearn's "Fire Water & Ice Festival" and got to see a really cool fire show and fireworks. Here are some pics and video clip of the fire show.

Whew! that was some hard playing! But was SO MUCH FUN!! :) I'd have to say that, while I wasn't looking forward to this summer because of my exams, it has been pretty awesome! In fact, I would dare say it's been one of my favorite summers. Here's to the Lord's tender mercies and providing what we need, when we need it!
