The 30-day countdown to 30-years old

In 30 days, I will be 30 years old. I'm not that concerned about it, which is a bit surprising I guess. Not sure what I'll do. I've thought of different things I could do to celebrate it, but nothing set in stone yet. For sure I'll have to listen to Tim McGraw's "My Next Thirty Years". (I've kinda been a pill about wanting to play it for those family members that have turned 30 in the past 4 years.... so I don't think I'll get through the day without having to listen to it like a dozen or so times.)

In thinking about the "magnitude" of such a milestone, I've considered doing something to show the significance of 30 years. For example, visiting 30 temples by the time I'm thirty.* The problem with this is that I didn't start planning in advance enough to make it work out. So, no road trips for my birthday. :(

Have you seen those lists of questions? You know the ones I've talking about, where there seems to be a million "get-to-know-you" questions that a person will answer on their blog or email. I thought about doing that, but I find that I start losing attention after the first few questions for others and don't want to subject any of you to that. So I thought that instead of a list all at once, I would share 30 things/facts/stories/quirks about myself over the next 30 days. I may post one a day, maybe more, considering that time is a valuable commodity these days. (as well because I may need time to think up something that could be considered interesting to share)

So, yeah, there you go. If you have questions or things you've always wanted to know about me, ask me in a comment. (your help would be most appreciated.)

Enough already.....let the countdown begin!

#1 My favorite temple, the one I would like to one day get married in, is the Provo Temple. I've always just loved the simplicity of its beauty. I also love that it sits right in front of Rock Canyon. So beautiful! The inside decor is also much to my liking. It's a pretty special place for me.

* = For the record, I have been in 24 different temples. Two of which were for open houses, the rest were for doing temple work. Some favorites were: Preston (England), Washington D.C., San Diego, and Los Angeles. ~ I hope to at least double this number in the next thirty years.

Sounds like a fun activity to countdown to your birthday. Mmmm so what shall I ask? What is you favorite thing about each of your sisters? (Isn't that better then asking who's the favorite?)

I would like to know one challenging time you've had and how you've come out of it.

And I would like to hear about one of your favorite times at Ricks...

:)

I miss you!

So there is a new temple opening up close to us...kind of... in April. Gila valley, and the Mesa temple is having their annual pagent. so if you need a road trip, our house is available, and it would be fun, fun, fun to see you!:) Jason and I could definitely come up with something crazy to do...maybe popsicle boats or blowing fire for your birthday.

Em, I just visited with Chrissy last week and she reminded me that we turn 30 on the same day. Isn't that exciting? Maybe I'll do a 1 week count-down on my blog. . . I missed the 30 day bit by a bunch.
